The Saudis will look to put themselves in a position to advance out of the group stage when they take on Ukraine in a vital Group H encounter on Monday. The Saudis conceded a last-gasp equalizer in a 2-2 draw to Tunisia while Ukraine were hammered 4-0 by Spain, who play Tunisia on Monday.

Both teams are desperate for a win. Saudi Arabia is still in the driver's seat as they tied with Tunisia in their opening match, but the Ukraine must get a win today as they were beaten by a tough Spanish team 4-0 in the opening round. The three games today will signal the end of the second round. Only one round remains before many teams head home, and a tough sixteen teams remain in Germany for the final action...

Ukraine scores first in this very important match. A strong corner kick by the Ukrainians finds Rusol (6) in front of the net, striking fast with a kick to the back of the goal!

Three corner kicks in a row for the Ukrainians as they continue to pressure Saudi Arabia. The first two kicks landed out of bounds from headers, but the last shot nearly scored before being kicked high by a Ukrainian striker and into the stands.

The rain is falling in Hamburg, the pitch looks wet, and this could prove an advantage for whomever can withstand the slip and slidding...

The Ukrainians continue to stretch and pressure the Saudi defense, but they seem to be weathering the storm as of yet...

What a tremendous goal by Rebrov (11). The striker from the Ukraine dribbled to the top of the penalty area and then released a magnificent kick, which sailed over the keeper, leaving no chance for a stop.

With a un-selfish pass inside the penalty area by Shevchenko Ukraine scores again as Kalinichenko slams the ball into the top of the net. It seems a bit of a suprise that after this team lost by four goals in their first game with Spain that they are able to put up the same score on Saudi Arabia. Arabia certainly felt that they were the favorites for this match, but the Ukraine has shown that they now can take control of their destiny in this tournament, and perhaps make the upcoming win or die round...

A few minutes of extra time has been added, but with the score 4-0 in favor of the Ukraine, it really is only a matter of time for the fans in yellow and blue to start partying...
