Some concerned scientists are warning party people to ease off mixing the popular energy drink Red Bull, Cocaine, Rockstar, Full Throttle and others with alcohol because it could impede respiratory function. The FDA considers Red Bull a dietary supplement so it does not regulate the product, but it says that it's the recommended alternative for designated drivers and those wanting to kick their heels-up, without kicking their heels up.

"You can hinder your respiration," said Roger A. Clemens, of the University of Southern California's School of Pharmacy. "From a public health perspective, you should not mix stimulants with alcohol."
