La belle province will never be the same again, nor will Canada as a whole. The separatists were trounced in yesterday’s provincial election in Québec. If anyone ever needed clear proof that Quebeckers for the most part are no longer interested in driving a wedge into Canada, this is it.Jean Charest and his provincial Liberals barely eked out a minority government. During most of the election night, as the votes were being counted, it looked almost certain that Mario Dumont and his Action Démocratique du Québec would win. Charest, the premier, only won his own riding by the skin of his teeth.
