Seals in danger

Canada is about to allow 300 thousand seals to be slaughtered. Yeimaya explains the situation and asks people to sign a petition to stop that. I truly believe that lots of money is the only thing that can solve almost any problem, so signing a petition may be only a symbolic gesture. If we could send money to the fishermen and their families, or raise funds to help develop alternative solutions, then that could work. But while here, with my butt comfortably seated in my chair, I can at least sign an online petition. How can you not sign looking at this???This seal, ironically, lives in the Vancouver aquarium. It was very impressive seeing her swimming towards the glass and stopping to watch me. For a moment I was the critter trapped in a zoo for her enjoyment. Very curious and expressive animal.
