A celebration of West Coast-style maritime fun, the Sea Vancouver Festival will be held July 6-10, 2005. Visit Vancouver%u2019s shores this summer to tour the magnificent tall ships and take in music, comedy, sports, food, arts, culture and casino nights.
2005 Tall Ships Challenge�

The Sea Vancouver TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE� 2005 will set anchor in Vancouver%u2019s harbours this summer. Schooners, brigs and Class A tall ships are among the majestic vessels that will navigate their way from ports around the world, including Russia, Mexico, New Zealand, the United States and Canada. Up to 400,000 people are expected to welcome the fleet as it sails into English Bay during the Parade of Sail on July 7 from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm (approximately).
Tall Ship Island

An estimated 1,000 people an hour will be shuttled from English Bay and False Creek to North America%u2019s first floating city, Tall Ship Island. A series of floats and barges anchored in English Bay, Tall Ship Island will provide access for tall ship tours and up-close viewing to watch historic gun battles, boat races, water sports and more.
