Ms. Serena Williams is ready to stay in the game of tennis and once again is poised to start a new beginning in her historic ride to the top. Williams did this for her sister(who was murdered back in 03'), for her mother who has been supporting her since day one, for the sport of tennis, and most importantly America. Serena has made believers out of everyone, and showed her passion and pure toughness to succeed. Once she started the match their was no smile, a fist pumps, but mostly a look in her eyes that read I'm ready. The score showed, as she blasted away her opponent Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-2, in nearly less than an hour. She came in to this tournament with a 35:1 odds. Williams rank before the tournament was at 81, and currently is at 14. She now has three Australian open titles, one shy of the record held by four players, not to mention now 8 grand slam titles. What still amazes me is that she played in 4 tournaments last year. Thats seems to me like running a marathon, without ever running before in your life. Trust me Serena was training her body and mind and clearly has an extraordinary heart and talent for this game. Williams isn't playing for fame, shes playing for her family, everyone that wants to see her play, and as we all see in her smile the love for the game. Lets show her love back and keep her in the heart and soul of tennis. -Broderick McCoy
