Serrano Spanks Tribune Editors

Tonight’s op-ed section in the Trib includes a piece by Dan Serrano, Vice President of the West Side Coalition of Neighborhoods.

Serrano wrote in response to a Tribune editorial, “A West Side District Deserves One Big Boo, an essay whose gravitas was reflected in the title.

In contrast to “One Big Boo”, Serrano’s piece was articulate, reasoned, punctuated with relevant facts, and delivered in the best interests of children.

He began by pointing out that he and others have a responsibility to ensure that children are equally and adequately provided with the educational resources necessary to succeed; hardly an unreasonable approach.

He correctly describes the editorial as irresponsible and insulting. It was not however surprising, especially considering the Tribune’s nose in crack march behind the Leaders of the APS in their effort to cover up the Ethics Scandal.
