Seth Big Crow, a descendant of Lakota leader Crazy Horse, died last Friday of heart failure. He was 68.

Big Crow lived on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. He was an outspoken advocate and protector of the Crazy Horse name, which he felt was being abused and disrespected.

In perhaps the most famous case, Big Crow sued to stop the use of the Crazy Horse name on a brand of malt liquor. The Stroh brewing company later apologized to the family.

Funeral services are set for 2pm on Friday. Big Crow will be buried at Crazy Horse Tiospaye Cemetery.
