I’ve been an Elvis fan since I was a little kid and I’ve been impersonating him since 1994; I did a few impersonations in high school and then I discovered Karaoke in 1992. One night, I’d done a song called “It’s Only Make Believe” by Conway Twitty, and people thought Elvis recorded it – He never did record it, though he probably sang it. Generations coming up are turning onto him. I do shows in people’s private homes and I see kids six or 10 years old trying to imitate him. People loved Elvis so much that they treat me as though I was him. But I just project his image as best as I can, and they respond. I bring back memories of him, as all of us impersonators do. People miss Elvis.
