shaheen's Channel

Mr.Shaheen Buneri is a TV and online journalist from North West Pakistan. In 2001 he graduated from the University of Peshawar in political science and English literature. He started his career as Radio Broadcaster and anchored programmes on Afghanistan culture, youth issues and current affairs from Radio Pakistan Peshawar. In 2001 he joined daily the Statesman as staff reporter and worked on politics, society,culture, afghanistan issues and provincial government policies.

In 2004 he joined the first sattelite TV channel in Pashto language--the AVT Khyber as programme producer and anchor. For AVT khyber, Shaheen Buneri produced documentaries, magazine programmes and news packages. In 2005 Mr.Shaheen was provided with an opportunity as media and communication consultant in United Nations Children Fund at it Peshawar office.

In 2006 Shaheen returned to his previous duty as producer in AVT Khyber. Presently he is working as Deputy Station Manager at AVT Khyber Swat centre. He also writes for The News International, Freemuse.org, and EdNews on Education, music censorship, political parties, tourism and cultural heritage.
