Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design President, Ron Burnett, recently
signed the Talloires declaration, committing ECI to becoming a more
sustainable and environmentally conscious institution.

Simultaneously, a group of ECIAD students have created Shift, an
exhibition calling for an ultimate reconsideration of beliefs and
lifestyle choices. Shift incorporates the human footprint, animal
welfare, crucial changes at hand and such related discourses. As we
bear witness to the climax of our environmental crisis, the only way
to appease the situation requires the literal shifting of mind, body
and ethical belief systems.
