Bhakti maa was born on 25th Dec 1922 in pokar khali Almora.Her parent were Shri Kunwar Singh and Radhika Devi. When she was born no body knows on day she will turn as goddes of kumauon hills . Maa attracted toward god in her childhood only.Her toys were Idols of Radha Krishan and other God and Goddess, She use to spend her whole time looking at these Idols and playing with them At the age of 13 she was married to shri Kesar Singh Ji. She gave birth to Three daughter and one Son but she was not able to lead her normal family life because Maa had totally devoted herself to God, though Maa take care of her family but maa was fully linked to her Isht (God). Maa use to go into meditation even if doing her household jobs.

A model of simplicity, humility and sacrifice maa even while discharging her duties and obligations as a wife and a mother continued her quest for the larger truth and greater spirituality. Her prayer and penance were not taken too kindly ostensibly because they conflicted with her household responsibilities. The struggle was long and difficult. Her single minded devotion and dedication enabled her to overcome criticism and sarcasm not by contesting or confronting the critics but by her steadfastness to her cause, the search for the Almighty. His Grace was not wanting and His blessing were bestowed on maa. Those who had doubted her were themselves overcome by her ascendance to the higher plane and owed into submission by the peace and comfort she so Spontaneously exuded.
Then Maa come in contact of Neem Kaurari Maharaji .Maa made babaji her Guru.Babaji only provoked her to keep silence and she kept Maun(silence).since then she is silence and also called Mauni Mai .Adopting the vow of silence at an early age maa communicates by writing on a slate that she carries with her all the time. Though cryptic and pithy the notations on the slate are heavy in meaning and depth. Presently Maa had disciples all over the world.devotees do not do anything without the permission of maa.Every body had their own experience with Maa..
Maa always tought her disciples to get GOD even by leading family life in grahastha Ashram.
