               BORGER, TX -- Two persons were seriously injured in a single plane crash shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday.


               The two were taken for emergency treatment direclty to Northwest Texas Hospital  in Amarillo.


The occupants of the small plan were reportedly attempting to land at Hutchinson County Airport, north of Borger, when the accident occurred. The plane crashed into a residential neighborhood, according to the Borger Police Department.


                The plane nose-dived into a carport at 1405 Clayton sT., serously injuring the two unidentified passangers. The nearby homeowners escaped injury.


                The first 911 call was received by the Borger police at  1:58 p.m. Sunday.  Area lawenforcement agencies, including emergency personnel from Borger and nearby communities of Fritch and STinnett, arrived at the scene to assist with the  crash.


              The small, signle-engine plane sustained total damage. The Federal Aviation Agency sent a representative to assist in the investigaiton being lead by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
