Shivaji (Rajni Kanth) lands in India after a long time of more than a decade. He earns big in United States and desires to do a lot for his village. As soon as he comes to his village he goes nostalgic and sings a song. He is plain at heart, innocent and pure through out the first half. He melts for sorrows of people and serves them like Mother Theresa. He is also spiritual and quotes lines from Ramana Maharshi's philosophy. Noticing his innocence a group of crooked men in his village drop a net on him and betray. They tell him many sorrowful stories of many people and take him to Adi Seshan (Suman), Good Samaritan, who lives in city helping poor and needy. Shivaji falls in their trap and as they say he donates all his earnings for them. But he discovers of late that Adiseshan is an underworld don who is anti social. But that's too late. Shivaji remains with Re. 1 by then.

INTERVAL

Shivaji neither challenges nor lets out any verbose dialogue. He plays a silent game. He shuns his innocence and uses his smartness. He betrays Adiseshan and his team. He earns back his Rs 200 Crore and also the total property of Adiseshan which is more than Rs 4000 Crore. Not only that he loves Adiseshan's daughter (Shriya) and owns her as well. Everything comes to the hands of Shivaji. Rest of the film falls last 45 minutes. He spends that not only for his village but entire state. How he spends? There we can watch Shankar's style in narration. There in intelligence and conviction in that.

As he spends he gets more and more in the form of donations. Knowing his clean heart and helping nature many rich people start giving donations to him. That way there will be no limit for his earnings.

Finally, Chief Minister feels that Shivaji is getting bigger following in the state and that will be a threat for him. He tries to drop a political net on him trying to pull him into his party. But Shivaji will not give cold response to him. He puts on some conditions to CM to join with him. What are those conditions? How CM follows the word of Shivaji? How they influence the development of the state? How Shivaji makes the state a great place without joining politics? That takes to the climax.
