Six Arcachon raw oysters

This is the 2nd dish of Arcachon oysters I've had in as many days in Bordeaux.

Arcachon is near the sea, and is fairly famous for its oysters.

I have no idea how the butter is to be eaten with the oysters. I just took a bite of the butter with every oyster. Hope I was worthy entertainment for the locals who can chuckle at the tourist defeated by the pat of butter.

But the oysters were heavenly. You know the oyster is fresh when you eat the oyster it is full of the smell and taste of the sea. In fact, these oysters were quite salty - the "nectar" tasted like sea water..
