Man I am glad I am out of elementary school. Mine was a bit on the ruff side but nothing compared to this. Now here's a question: do us Americans have the right to bear grenades?

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- An elementary school was evacuated Tuesday after a fourth-grader brought what appeared to be a grenade to school.

The staff and their 530 students were moved away from the building until authorities could determine if it posed any danger, said school district spokeswoman Julie Thannum. She said the grenade appeared to be empty but had a pin in it.

The school, Old Union Elementary, is in a suburb of Fort Worth.

Snelgrove Bottomly, I'd like to know more about the elementary school you went to.  That could be a great item for citizen journalism.

And think about what else you might be able to do with this story...you've kind of suggested an approach ( "Americans have the right to bear grenades...") but you could really explore this.

Don't get me wrong - this is Good Stuff and I have flagged it that way. Many thanks!
