Smoke Got In My Eyes

We had strong winds here yesterday with gusts over 50 mph, which started fires all over central, and north central, Texas, as well as downing power lines, and delaying flights. About 2000 acres and at least 24 structures burned throughout the region.

This fire was one of the small ones, and was just up the road from us. Five fire companies came together to put out the fire.

We followed this Texas DOT truck away from the fire area. As you can see the sky is dark and filled with smoke. This picture was taken around 3 pm. The smoke from the fire filled the sky for miles around.

Winds are predicted to continue for the next couple of days.
