Finally, it’s over.

For anyone who ever wanted to know what it feels like to sit in abathtub, slit your wrists, and listen to Mazy Star as you slowly loseconsciousness, I’d have to say that the Democratic primary came prettyclose.

On Saturday, Hillary Clinton suspended her campaign and endorsedBarack Obama to become the next president of the United States. Ofcourse suspending the campaign and ending the campaign are two entirelydifferent things. It’s like smoking pot and not inhaling pot. It’s likenot having sexual relations with a girl and then receiving a blowjob inthe oval office. It’s word choice. It’s how you want to interpret it.It’s what the Clintons are best at.

And why shouldn’t she leave the door open?

From the onset of the campaign Hillary has been driven by anoverwhelming sense of entitlement believing that the nomination wasn’tjust hers, but her automatic rite. And now that she’s lost, she stillfeels that sense of entitlement. She’s entitled to a cabinet position. She’s entitled to have her campaign debt paid off. She’s entitled tothe nomination if Barack falters.

And who is to say that she’s wrong?

After all Americans love sales and the Clintons were offering theold two for one deal which on the surface might seem good but it wasreally more like eating half off sushi on Sunday. Your gut tells you,you shouldn’t do it because it’s not going to be fresh, but you’restill tempted by the deal.
