Southfield Fire Damages 8 Apartments

June 15, 2007 Michigan - One apartment was destroyed and several others were damaged by smoke and water when a fire broke out this morning at Knob in the Woods apartments on 11 Mile Road near Evergreen. Southfield Fire Chief Peter Healy said there were no reports of injuries but firefighters planned to comb through the burned apartment to make sure no one was inside.
