"Spider-Man 3" premieres in Tokyo v1 by Brian A Kennedy

Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Wednesday, April 18 2007.The highly anticipated "Spider-Man 3" made its world premiere in Tokyo. The movie's stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst arrived on the red carpet event Monday night. In the newest film, Spider-man reportedly faces inner struggles between new villains and revenge. The movie will be released in theaters May 4.Actress Eva Longoria celebrated her upcoming wedding with not one but two wedding showers. People magazine reports her co-star Teri Hatcher threw Longoria an all girls pre-wedding bash at her home Monday night. Her other "Desperate Housewives" pal Felicity Huffman threw her another party the day before....but this one was coed. Longoria will marry NBA star Tony Parker July 7th in Paris.The Fox network is taking one of its new episodes off the air tonight... out of respect for those affected by the recent shootings at Virginia Tech University. An entertainment magazine reports the network plans to run a re-run of the show "Bones" after determining the new one was inappropriate. The episode reportedly centered on human remains found on a college campus.Singer Rod Stewart is planning to spend big bucks on his upcoming wedding. A British newspaper reports he's shelling out more 2 million dollars for his nuptials with model Penny Lancaster. They'll apparently wed at a fancy Italian resort and fly their guests in on a private plane. Big stars like Paris Hilton, Elton John and Mick Jagger are among those expected to attend.Country singer Carrie Underwood grabbed three honors at the CMT Music Awards. The ceremony Monday night recognized the best in country music...as voted on by fans. Underwood was presented awards for video of the year, female video and best video director.
