[UPDATE]: The winner of this year's race is the 2-1 favorite Eye of The Leopard of Sam-Son Farm.

Sam-Son Farm's Eye Of The Leopard has won the 150th Queen's Plate, which went Sunday afternoon at Woodbine Racetrack. The win is worth US$600,000 for the owners. It is Sam-Son Farm's fifth Queen's Plate victory, and first since 2001 with Dancethruthedawn.
Jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva earned his first Queen's Plate win in his first-ever mount in the race.
Mr. Foricos Two U held on for second, with filly Milwaukee Appeal taking third in the 13-horse field.
The horse completed the race in two minutes 3.84 seconds.

The anniversary 150th Queen’s Plate is taking place today, June 21, 2009 at the Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada. The Queen’s Plate is the oldest thoroughbred horse race in the world. It was initiated by Queen Victoria in 1859.
