After making World record partnership in Chittagaong they both kept the same performance into Day of 1st Test of Important Series against.If you are thinking of G Smith and  ND McKenzie then you are right. Both today guided to solid and strong state f rom their South Africa is in full control .Despite of Slow and spinner helping pitch ,South Africa fininshed first day for 304 for 4 with Amla on 85 not out .With half of batting to come we can think of huge lead to be gained by South Africa over and it will be upto India team to think over their plans tonight so as to make their come back tomorrow. Small Review:
In hot and humid morning South Africa won a important toss and elected to bat . The pitch looks like a batting wicket with helping spinners more than fast pacer. South African captain knows well that they had a good batting line up. Smith and ND McKenzie started playing sensibly.In starting Smith had problem Sreesanth but as the time spent ,both started playing superbly and before the lunch commenced both had glorious 50's in their bags.It Showed us that this series will be cracking one as India Vs Austrlia one was. In opening session both scored 109 runs and they both looked to continue same form in second session but Kumble atlast got Smith in 34th over for 132 runs .Smith was playing terrific good and was crushing to glorious hundred but was stop at 73 runs. ND McKenzie continued playing superbly and got full support from Amla but wasnt able to make his innings memorable as he got out at 94 by Harbahajan Singh. Amla continued the scoring with Kallis first and then Prince and score third half century of innings. Kallis and Pribce both gave him support for short time .

Ab De Villiers helped Amla to take day'play without losing further wicket. None of Indian Bowlers looked to trouble South African batting.Only Kumble and Harbahajan got the four wickets ,the pitch was slow and thats why bowlers were not so effective. South Africa ended day 1 with 304 for 4 with Amla on 85 and Villiers on 10.

Preview of Day 2:
Amla will try his level best to achive a glorious hundred plus taking South Africa cross 500 plus on the otherhand India will try to take quick wickets and bowl out South Africa without giving much runs as they did today.
