Google "Prize money for the British Open 2009" and it gives you the listing. 1st place is about 1.2M and second place is about $750K. They give it in british pounds so you must convert.

This can't be accurate as it has Matteo Manassero earning £67.5k but as he is an amateur (and only 16!) he would not have earnt any money, his share would have been split.
