The 2009 NFL Draft takes place on April 25-26 in New York City.  Radio City Music Hall will be hosting the event. There is no clear-cut number one in this year's draft so the suspense is on for the players, the teams, and the fans to guess who is going where.
The 2009 NFL Draft Schedule begins with the first pick at 4pm ET with the third round commencing on April 26th at 10am ET.

Update: Matthew Stafford will be the number one pick in the 2009 NFL Draft as the Detroit Lions have reportedly agreed to sign the Quarterback to a six year $41.7 million contract which can escalate to $78.

Update:

No major surprises with the first few picks, but the New York Jets surprised fans by trading up to the fifth spot to pick Quarterback Mark Sanchez from USC. The pick was mixed with jeers and cheers from the fans in New York some yelling "overrated."

Another surprise in the first round was with the Oakland Raiders picking 7th. The disfunctional franchise picked Wide Receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey while many experts rated Heyward-Bey low in the draft. Many believed Michael Crabtree was the best wide receiver around, but the Raiders went off the charts and picked Darrius Heyward-Bey.
