Kyle Boller has been with the Baltimore Ravens for 6 years.
He is now on the injured players list. This photo was taken in 2006 at the Raven training field in Westminster Maryland.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Matt Cassel this offseason.  He proved to be a great NFL quarterback for the NE Patriots this season.  With Tom Brady being out with the knee injury, I am anxiously waiting to find it if he will be able to come back next season or if the Patriots will need to franchise Matt Cassel.

Cassel is a really interesting story. The guy didn't start in college and is now a bona fide NFL quarterback. It will be interesting if he moves to another team. Then we'll find out if he's a real offensive threat or if Bill Belichick's coaching ability turned him into one.

All Matt Cassel did was prove that anyone can run the Patriots offense. Honestly, most would have considered him the worst backup in the league. Remember when Brady going down was such a nightmare/disaster? How could they survive without the amazing brady? Actually any 6th round pick who hasnt played since high school...*sigh*. Bill Belichek is incredible, i wouldn't be surprised to see him trade both brady and cassel and just draft somebody late to take over, maybe sign a few key free agents. Who the hell wants to pay Matt Cassel 14 million?

Maurice Morris prepares for the Seahawks home game, a loss to the Green Bay Packers. As Packer fans, we shot Morris because of our admiration for his electric career at the University of Oregon (our home town) and his success with the Seahawks. Given his free agent status, and the upcoming Seahawk coaching transition, it will be interesting to see if Morris remains in the Pacific Northwest or bolts for a payday with another franchise. Speaking on behalf of the football fans in Eugene, many of are hoping that Morris & Jordan Kent (another UofO fav.) will be back to thrive under the Mora regime.

Bills fan wish list for 2009 Free Agency:

QB Jeff Garcia veteran back-up

WR TJ Houshmanzadeh Hardy didn't do it

TE Owen Daniels playmaker

C Matt Birk, or Jeff Saturday Preston stinks!!!

DT Albert Haynesworth can you say #1 run def.?

DE Julius Peppers, or Terrell Suggs nothing against Kelsay but not enough pressure from DEs

LB Ray Lewis Leadership alone will get the D playing like Super Bowl contenders!!! Mitchell Posluzny Lewis WHAT??!!!

S Brian Dawkins, Dawan Landry move Whitner to FS that sounds like a Ring to me!!!

spurzo

That's a pretty sweet wish list, I think all of those players have been to atleast one pro bowl, wait no not landry.  I think Buffalo could afford two of those players (houshmanzadeh and a good d-end might be nice maybe bert berry) but seriously keep drafting well and the Toronto Bills will be a playoff team.  Leodis McElvin will make the pro bowl next year that guy is slick.

cheers

Fox , ESPN, and the Boston Globe are reporting the decision has been made to franchise Cassel.

Miami Dolphins Wish List:

1.Nnamdi Asomugha - Defensive Playmaker

2.T.J. Houshmandzadeh -Offensive Playmaker

3.Ray Lewis -Defence Leader

4.Terrell Suggs -Extra Help for Line

0
Robert Sutherland

That is a sweet list. Gonna be some big moves this off season.

I'm predicting a quick re-sign of:

Ray Lewis in Baltimore

Jim Kleinsasser in Minnesota

Lawyer Milloy in Atlanta

Julius Peppers in Carolina

Roydell Williams in Tennesse

Scott!!!(EAGLES)

I believe it is likely that the Eagles will pursue a big name wide receiver (Housh??) and start building a young team. The drafting od DeSean Jackson is clear evidence of an attempt to find a young, fast, talented wide reveiver. It is possible that they also pursue a few linemen to strengthen one of the best defences in the NFL. Sadly, all Eagle fans won't be cheering for Brian Dawkins anymore - Expect to see him sign elsewhere with a non-playoff contender (OAKLAND!).

The Broncos wish list...

1. A WHOLE NEW DEFENSE

Ray Lewis, Julius Peppers, Albert Haynesworth, Brian Dawkins, Terrell Suggs, Phillip Buchanon, Dunta Robinson, Tank Johnson

trade Dre Bly for a draft pick, trade Elvis Dumervil for a draft pick or package them for a 1st rounder hopefully?

the radiers should get julius pepers so we can have the best defensive ends in the nfl burgess and pepers that would really help us defensively.

0
tyreee

brian dawkins would be a good fit for the oakland radiers because the radiers really need a leader at the corner posittion because of the loss of nadmi asomough.

0
pigfeet27

Yo my man, Brian Dawkins is a safety there's no way he can replace Asomough. Asomough plays CB and is one of the best. No disrespect to Dawkins and as a Raider fan I would love to see him in the silver and black for his leadership alone but he doesnt have the speed or covering ability like Asomough. There's a reason he plays Safety

Rex Ryan to take two from Baltimore with him to NY--Lewis, Suggs or Suggs, Scott. Byron Leftwitch is also a free agent and wants to start for the Jets.

0
Ken (Drafted Ravens Fan)

The Ravens definitely overachieved this year, I'm feeling ok about next year but would feel really good if the Ravens could keep, Suggs, Ray, and Scott...I hope they take the Pats approach and want to try and build a winner.

Raven 2009 Wish List

WR - TJ. Housmanzadeh or young long threat so we can move Clayton to slot and he can put pressure on safties.

CB - Nnamdi A or Dunta Robinson - Fabian and Nnamdi w/C Mac in Nickel and Dime situations I'm feeling that

DE - J Pep - As long as we keep T. Suggs and J Pep on the other side with Kelly Gregg back and Haloti and J. Bannan to spell one of those guys. I think T. Price played great this year but I think he is talking about retirement.

LB - Ray, Scott, and Suggs (PLEASE KEEP THEM. HAHAH) If we lose one I wouldn't mind J. Vilma and J. Peterson for experience

Kicker - New blood would be good, Stover has been a consistent beast but we need a newer fresher leg.

ANTONIO FREAKING BRYANT! Way less jack and more effort than Housh..better hands to.

DawkinzAllDay20

This is what the eagles is gonna do

we gonna sign albert haynesworth so we can get that triple threat at dt or cop Julius Peppers

get a #1 wide receiver mayb TJ or trade for Michael Crabtree in the draft(we got 2 first round picks this year)

Give the franchise tag to Dawkins, giv McNabb that contract, draft Pettigrew from Oklahoma in the draft at TE

And Get Darren Sproles, Or Derrick Ward In FreeAgency to complement Westbrook (bye Buckhalter)

Are you guys serious?

1st off this isn't madden 09....ok and no team is getting peppers, haynesworth, and TJ together....wtf!

If your gonna do a wish list atleast make it realistic....

And raider fans....You guys would be lucky to get ONE big FA...no one wants to play there!!! why do think they over pay guys so much????....one of ya'll said "raiders should get peppers".....i almost pissed myself laughing...you should've put "raiders should give peppers all they're money and pray that he chooses us"....thats more realistic

And I love how everyone says "trade this guy and that guy for draft pick".....you guys think like 10 year olds on your madden franchise i swear lol....no team is just giving away picks for washed up guys with big contracts...that is why you draft players you bufoons...

G-men#1

LOL hhahahahahahah  ry u r aboslutely right  wat they've been writing is aa joke cmon people be realistic. Also i agree no one wants to bea raider that franchise is screwed up. bUT AS A giant fan  i want we need a dl and a olb. i would love for them to throw all there cash at j. peppers that would be sick osi and jp at the ends tuck at def t. then put kiwanucka at  olb. then in the draft you can take best avail. hopefully plax returns

ry and gmen are right. everyone else's comments are hilarious.  According to you guys we should expect the raiders and the lions in the superbowl next year hahaha

0

although i do think the lions should try to trade a 3rd or possibly their 2nd round pick for cassel and then they could use their two two first rounders on a premier OL and defensive playmaker.  or they could just sign every big name free agent right guys? lol

well the saints are going to go after darren sharper. we got burnt too many times this year and we will sign vilma. Vilma wants to stay here since we believed and were willing to take a chance on him. We draft Ray in the first and move him outside next to vilma with morgan coming in on passing downs. We will go corner in the second round probably.
