Can Tiger Woods Come Back?  Rumor has it that old Tiger will try to come back at the CA Championship at Doral in March. If that does happen, the TV networks will breathe a huge sigh of relief as the biggest draw in the sport returns to the spotlight. Of course, the question is whether is can return to his former greatness. Considering that he won his last tournament on one leg, he should be fine.

How About Roger Federer?  Remember when the late David Foster Wallace referred to watching Federer as "a religious experience." Well, the Swiss star had a bit of a fall from grace last year, losing several major tournaments including a legendary Wimbledon Final to arch-rival Rafael Nadal. Federer has suffered from health problems all year. If he is healthy, will he have lost a step or can he return to his former greatness?

Will the New York Yankees Buy a World Series? The Yankees paid more than $400 million to three players--C.C. Sabathia, Mark Teixera, and A.J. Burnett. Their payroll should clock in at over $210 million, not including luxury tax. You would think that that much money could buy them a championship. Of course, the team spent nearly that much in 2008 and didn't make the playoffs. The Yankees should be a better team next year. Still, nothing is guaranteed. You can buy free agents, but you can't buy team chemistry.

Will LeBron James Finally Win an NBA Ring? LeBron James wants to be the most famous athlete in the world. Heck, he's even learning Mandarin in an effort to market to the millions of hoops fans in China. Of course, if he wants to a global icon, he's going to have to win something. So far, his Cavaliers have one of the best records in the NBA. If LBJ can put get a championship ring, he'll be well on his way to having his face plastered on every cereal box in Shanghai.

Will Barack Obama Fix the College Bowl System? Will Anyone? Soon-to-be US President Barack Obama claims that he will fight to replace the College Bowl system and a new playoff system. It's a nice to think that Obama could end all the incessant whining that happens at the end of the every college football season. Still, we're guessing that Obama will have more important issues to think about other than fixing the BCS.
