2011 MLS Whitecaps $50 season ticket deposits on sale Saturday

On Wednesday March, 18 it was announced that the Vancouver Whitecaps will be joining the MLS in 2011. After beating out Portland, Ottawa, and St. Louis, Vancouver won the bid to Join the MLS in 2011.

Season tickets will be available for purchase tomorrow, March, 21 at 10 a.m. Five thousand season ticket deposits will be for sale at $50 per ticket. Current Whitecap ticket holders will recieve priority for the 2011 season tickets and "the club is planning to cap season tickets for the 2011 season at 16,500."

The Whitecaps expect to sell out based on similar scenarios in Toronto, who capped season tickets at 16,000 and have a waiting list of 14,000 and Seattle, who have capped season tickets at 22,000 and over 32,000 at their first match on Thursday night, a 3-0 win over New York.

Ticket deposits can be placed at the club's website starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
