2nd Inning Wickets: IPL 2012 - DC vs CSK, Match 6
The Indian Premier League 2012 (IPL 5) will have nine teams competing for the ultimate glory. A total of 72 league matches will be played at 12 venues over 54 days. The nine IPL franchise will play 16 matches each (eight away and eight home) to claim the top spot in points table.
The teams that finish third and fourth in the points table will play each other in the Eliminator play-off match. The winner will then play against the loser of Qualifier 1 in the Qualifier 2 play-off.
Instead of two semi-finals, Indian premier league introduced play-offs and eliminator last year which allows top two teams an extra chance to reach the final. First, top two teams in points table will play each other with winner qualifying for final while loser will wait for winner of eliminator between 3rd and 4th position teams and then another final eliminator to decide other finalist.
