Three University of Tennessee (UT) football players were arrested for attempted armed robbery. Janzen Jackson, Mike Edwards and Nu'Keese Richardson are currently at the Knox County Detention Center after trying to rob three men in a car outside the Pilot convenience store in Knoxville.

Janzen Jackson, Mike Edwards, and Nu'Keese Richardson were identified by three men who say that they were waiting for a friend who was in the Pilot convenience store when a "black male" got out of the car next to them and tried to rob them. The description of the assailants' car matched Maria Montmarquet's Prius pulled over by Knoxville police, in which Janzen Jackson, Mike Edwards, and Nu'Keese Richardson were riding, along with black hoodies, a pellet gun, and a substance "believed to be marijuana" (is it that hard for police to immediately identify?)

Officers responded to the Pilot convenience store located at 2218 Cumberland Ave. at about 1:43 this morning on an armed robbery in progress call. According to police reports three men were sitting in car waiting on a friend who was inside the store.
