Rajasthan Royals vs Bangalore Royal Challengers at Jaipur

Hours of play: 16.00 start, First Session 16.00-17.20, Interval 17.20-17.40, Second Session 17.40-19.00
Current time: 15:22 local, 09:52 GMT

It's a scorching afternoon in Jaipur and Shane Warne's having a bit of fun with the thermometer out on the pitch. The pitch temperature reads a whopping 49 degrees Celsius, it's about 43 degrees in the shade. Warne's normally fielded first if he wins the toss, I wonder if he'll brave the heat today.

Well it's super only because there are two IPL games today instead of one. The first match is between Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royal Challengers at the Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur. Stay with me, George Binoy, for all the action as it unfolds ball-by-ball.

Uncertainty loomed over this fixture after a series of bomb blasts ripped through the heart of Jaipur on May 13. Shane Warne, the Rajasthan Royals captain, and other high-profile overseas players were reportedly wary of staying on in the city while Bangalore requested the game be switched to the Chinnaswamy Stadium. However Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, refused to change the venue and assured the "necessary security arrangements" would be put in place for "the safe conduct of the game". Check out Siddhartha Vaidyanathan's preview of the game.

On paper this game is an utter mismatch. Rajasthan are sitting pretty at the top of the table with seven wins out of nine, while Bangalore are plumbing the depths with seven defeats out of nine matches. Another loss will wipe out Bangalore's improbable semi-final hopes, while a victory for Rajasthan will virtually cement a spot in the final four.

Both teams have had troubled build-ups to the game. Jaipur was rocked by bomb blasts on May 13 while Bangalore are under pressure from their owner after a poor run in the tournament.

The teams are lining up to keep two minutes silence, paying their respects to the victims of the bomb blasts and their families.
