Teams:
Kings XI Punjab (Playing XI): Ravinder Bopara, Karan Goel, Yuvraj Singh(c), Kumar Sangakkara(w), Mahela Jayawardene, Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Taruwar Kohli, Vikramjeet Malik, Vikram RV Singh, Yusuf Abdullah
Kolkata Knight Riders (Playing XI): Brendon McCullum(w/c), Chris Gayle, Saurav Ganguly, Bradley Hodge, Akash Chopra, Laxmi Shukla, Moises Henriques, Yashpal Singh, Murali Kartik, Ishant Sharma, Ashok Dinda
Pitch Report: It's overcast at the moment and the ball is expected to do a bit today. There is a bit of dampness in the surface, the spinners have dominated so far, it would be interesting to see whether they would come into play today. The seamers would certainly have a lot of fun.
Team News: Kolkata have made one change to their side, Yashpal Singh comes in for Ajit Agarkar. Punjab is fielding the same eleven in this game.
Kolkata Knight Riders have won the toss and decided to bowl first
Mahela Jayawardene: I won't say that we were unlucky in the last game, it is just a case of losing some and winning some. I personally am not a great fan of the Duckworth-Lewis Method and we were at the receiving end of it, the previous time. I am very happy with the opening combination of our side and am hoping that they keep firing at the top. We are eager to open our account quickly and hope that it happens today itself.
Ground Reality and Pitch:The home ground of the KwaZulu-Natal Dolphins, Kingsmead Durban is the ground which is mythically known for the tidal influence because of its close proximity to the sea. Indian fans will have mixed memories of the ground - it was here that India were skittled out for 100 and 66 in two innings against an Allan Donald led South African attack. But it was also here that Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes against Stuart Broad.
It has a seating capacity of 25,000.
