Aaron Afflalo hit a buzzer beater to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 121-120 on Thursday, Feb 10, 2011.

The Aaron Afflalo buzzer beater capped a furious fourth quarterback by the Nuggets. Carmelo Anthony, the subject of endless trade rumors, scored 42 points, days after dropping 50 points against the Houston Rockets.

Chauncey Billups scored 30 points, 18 of which came in the first quarter. Aaron Afflalo scored 24 points, none bigger than his 19-foot buzzer beater, which came after Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki missed one of two free throws in the final seconds.

During the Mavericks-Nuggets broadcast, TNT announcer shouted: "Aaron Afflalo is an assassin!"
