Aaron Ramsey suffered a severe injury during the game against Stoke when Ryan Shawcross tackled him and Ramsey suffered a broken leg among other injuries. In the video viewers can see Ramsey go down and then Shawcross received a red card and was sent off the pitch visibly upset.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger spoke to Soccernet.espn about Ramsey's injury after the 3-1 win against Stoke:

''I'm proud of our game because it was an unbelievable battle from the first minute. We needed to be tough and resilient to win,'' Wenger said. ''I'm very proud and of course very sad because of what happened. We know it's a bad injury. We have to transfer him to London tonight to see if he needs emergency surgery. We don't know how long he will be out but it's certainly long term.

The score was 1-1 when the injury happened but Arsenal managed to pull back and score twice more after Ramsey was taken off the pitch.

Aaron Ramsey was the third player behind Abou and Eduardo to suffer horrific injuries while on the pitch.

Wenger said:

''I'm not very happy with the tackle. We know what we are expecting, a battle everywhere, but we have now lost three players on horrendous tackles and I refuse to believe it's always coincidence.

''I don't believe it when you are hit as many times as we are. I just believe in what I see and when you see a player getting injured like that it's not acceptable. Commitment is right, but that is not right.

Hey pl don`t be so attacking agianst Showcross cause these thing happened in football its not strange but its such a shame that a young prospect could change his carriere advance for a momental injury but i know Ramsey is a fighter a young football star of the near future and he will overcome this.My view of points is the---> If the football is ment to be FAIRPLAY then  Showcross should visit Ramsey and should ask from him an apology. This can be a hight boost for the young injured midfielder and a rise of self-confidence.This is my way of seeing thing and you what do u think about this?!?!?!?!?

I watch a lot of soccer and I saw both Ramsey's injury as well as Eduardo's.  I was horrified at what happened but please recognize that however bad the injury is, Ryan Shawcross was just playing his heart out and he had no intent on injuring the young player.  Keep them both in your prayers because they both are rising young stars and deserve no personal attacks concerning the injury.

Agreed mate, accidents happen but it was very heartening to see how the teams came together after the event and helped with the removal of Ramsey.  Poor lad, bless 'em.
