AC Milan 'bottled Kaka transfer'
The £100m deal to take the Brazilian star to Eastlands collapsed on Monday and Cook says the Italian club are to blame for the failed transfer.
"If you want my personal opinion they bottled it," Cook told the BBC.
"He clearly was for sale but we never got to meet with the player, the behaviour of AC Milan got in the way."
Manchester City felt they were close to landing the 26-year-old attacking midfielder after sending a delegation to Milan to negotiate what would have been a world-record transfer.
The Premier League club was reportedly also set to pay Kaka wages of £500,000 a week to quit Milan for Manchester.
What was tabbed to be the most expensive deal in the history of soccer doesn't pan out. Now the blame game has begun as to why. Will we ever see another deal on the table like it? Indeed we will as long as there are owners of teams that are willing to pay.

So he's is loyal to AC Milan, I'd have had the cash myself! Manchester's not that bad, bit more rain than Milan maybe.

AC Milan could have be miles better without KAKA since they could have spent the huge money on other future needs. when the team starts losing since it doesn't have all the right pieces and no money to make adjustments, will the fans still support KAKA then?
