Acrobat Jose Angel Vera fell to his death during a performance at a FBR Open golf tournament party.

Vera, who is part of the Aerial Artistry troupe, was performing 15 to 20 feet in the air without a net in front of an audience of 700 people. Police reported that Vera was trying to unravel his body from a sash when he lost control and hit the ground head first. He was pronounced dead 35 minutes later.
