Former Dallas Cowboy Adam 'Pacman' Jones has signed a new deal with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

According to a source, the Pacman Jones Winnipeg Blue Bombers deal is seen as an audition for NFL clubs. If Pacman Jones plays well and behaves himself, he may get a deal with an NFL team. Jones reportedly turned down an opportunity to play in the upstart United Football League.

As for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, their secondary will receive a major boost thanks to the addition of Pacman Jones. However, Jones will have to  adjust. The CFL has a slightly different set of rules regarding receivers. Unlike the NFL, every offensive player in the backfield, except the quarterback is allowed to be in motion prior to the snap of the ball.

The Blue Bombers, however, are confident that a gifted athlete like Pacman Jones can quickly adjust to the Canadian game.

Of course, the team is taking a chance on Pacman Jones. The troubled cornerback has had his share of legal troubles, including reportedly being part of a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club back in 2007.
