At the CA Championship in Doral Florida, Phil Mickelson had really a good first round final.

Behind a 7-under par 65, Phil Mickelson found himself tied for the first round lead at the 2009 World Golf Championships-CA Championship. He talked with reporters after his day and specifically emphasized the importance of his short game.

Phil shares this lead with Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand, Retief Goosen and Jeev M. Singh of India.
Right behind is Padraig Harrington.

Padraig Harrington fired a 6-under par 66 in the first round of the 2009 World Golf Championships-CA Championship. Following his round, the Irishman spoke to the media.

Padraig shares this spot with Rod Pampling of Australia, Nick Watney of the USA and James Kingston.

Tiger is a bit behind on his first time out but still confident in the outcome.

Tiger Woods carded a 1-under par 71 in the first round of the 2009 World Golf Championships-CA Championship.

The shot of the day however goes to Phil.
