Alex Rodriguez and Cameron Diaz have have broken up, according to a report in US Magazine. The Alex Rodriguez-Cameron Diaz split comes after the couple denied rumors of a break-up.

US reports that the A-Rod-Cameron Diaz split was amicable. The two reportedly parted ways because they each wanted to focus on their career.

"She's very busy with her career," the source says of Bad Teacher actress Diaz, 39. "And he's had injuries and wants to focus on his game. They're dedicated professionals."

For many, the most memorable moment of the A-Rod-Cameron Diaz relationship was when cameras caught Diaz feeding Rodriguez popcorn during the Super Bowl.

It's been a bad year for New York Yankees players in long-term relationships. Earlier this year, teammate Derek Jeter split up with girlfriend Minka Kelly.
