Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin will use Twitter to document his experience at the NHL 2009 All-Star Game in Montreal.

Ovechkin is one of a growing number of athletes, such as the NBA's Shaquille O'Neal and NASCAR's Robby Gordon, who use Twitter as a means to connect with fans.

Ovechkin has already tweeted about his plans for the event, including what he may try during the Breakaway Challenge.

I flew down to LA from San Francisco to see the Caps take on the Ducks and Kings. This was allowed me to knock 2 more venues off my list in my quest to see the Capitals play in every arena in the league. OV is amazing.
