They were once the stars of women's tennis, Martina Hingis was known for her blistering play until a positive cocaine test at Wimbledon sent her into retirement. Anna Kournikova is known more for her beauty than her tennis skills, though she reached number 8 in the world, before retiring in 2002 with back problems.

It will be a poignant moment for Hingis, because the last time she competed at Wimbledon she gave a positive test for cocaine and the subsequent two-year ban effectively ended her career before a tentative comeback in doubles earlier this year.

The last time Anna Kournikova and Martina Hingis played in a grand slam venue as partners was in 2002 when they won the Australian Open Doubles championship.

At Wimbledon 2010 the stakes are nowhere near as high as Hingis and Kournikova are playing on Tuesday in "friendly" or exhibition of sorts called the Veterans Ladies Doubles Invitational.
