2012WIMBLEDON: Roger Federer is back&He wins his seventh Wimbledon title

Great day for tennis fans as Andy Murray did us proud...now bring on the Olympics.

MILLIONS of sports-mad Brits are today hoping Jessica Ennis can lead us to Olympic glory after battling Andy Murray failed to clinch a historic Wimbledon victory. Victory would have made him the first British man to triumph since Fred Perry way back in 1936. And with the huge star-studded crowd — including the Duchess of Cambridge, sister Pippa Middleton, PM David Cameron, and David Beckham and wife Victoria - willing him to win, the pressure was definitely on.

Brave Andy wept on the Centre Court as he thanked supporters after losing 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 in the Men’s Singles final to Swiss ace Roger Federer.

Now the focus will be on Jessica Ennis and the rest of Team GB as they target Olympic gold when London 2012 gets under way in just over a fortnight.

Jessica, 26, is hotly-tipped to win the heptathlon.
