Are the Sacramento Kings Moving to Virginia Beach? Here is the Latest

As you may have heard, the Sacramento Kings have been threatening to move to just about every town in the United States. The latest name to pop up: Virginia Beach.

Reports surfaced on August 23, 2012 that stated the Maloofs are looking to move the Sacramento Kings to Virginia Beach.

According to Inside Biz, the Maloofs along with Comcast officials "are expected to be in Virginia Beach Tuesday to propose moving the team to the resort city and for Comcast to help build and lease a new pro sports arena."

Are the Kings Really Moving To Virginia Beach?

It's not going to be easy. Virginia Beach has rarely been mentioned as a city that might get an NBA franchise. There are more than a few cynics out there, including SacTownRoyalty which has a nice breakdown of the Virginia Beach story.
