Argentina Football Fans Hijack Buses
Close to 70 football fans were arrested while trying to hijak two bus in order to get to the game on time.
Supporters of second-division team Chacarita Juniors robbed several of the passengers and forced them off the public buses, a police spokesman said.
The fans missed the game, however, as they were arrested before they arrived at the stadium in Buenos Aires.
Argentine football is marked by crowd violence and fights between rival fans.
Police stopped the two buses and arrested the fans on their way to the game on Thursday after noticing something unusual about them, police spokesman Carlos Durante said.
Since the hijaking was at knife point this was treated seriously as two fans remained in custody.
Chacarita won the game, against Talleres, 3-2.
