Appalachian Football Highlights 2007

Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards is expected to miss two to four weeks after injuring his right foot while mowing the lawn.

The Armanti Edward lawn mower injury comes just before Appalachian State's football team was about to start practice in preparation for the 2009 season.

Armanti Edwards apparently ran over his right foot with the lawn mower. Teammate Brian Quick took Edwards to the hospital, where he was treated and released. Medicals details were not released.

Armanti Edwards is a three-time All-American who has a 32-5 record with the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Edwards won the Walter Payton Award last season, given to the top offensive player in the NCAA’s Football Championship Series.
