The 2009 Armed Forces Bowl sees a rematch between the Houston Cougars and Air Force Academy Falcons. Last year, Houston beat Air Force 34-28, and the Falcons are gunning for some payback. This is the third Armed Forces Bowl appearance both Houston and Air Force, though Air Force has yet to win an Armed Forces Bowl.
The Armed Forces Bowl is a post-season NCAA game inaugurated in 2003, and is played at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Cougars are your 21st-century team, the one your ungrateful grandchildren like to watch when they’re not playing video games or surfing the Internet. The Falcons, on the other hand, run the same offense you ran in high school, with a playbook that relies on toughness and reliability, not speed and the shotgun snap.
