Aresnal Striker Robin Van Persie helped lead Aresnal to victory with a hatrick ending the game Aresnal 5, Chelsea 3, but now the 28 year old Dutchman has sparked a discussion on a British Scocer fan site asking if he hailed a Nazi salute to mark his victory.
Many people will see this as little more than brushing off his shirt, but others will interpret it as something completely different, you be the judge.

Get over it, people! He didn't make a Nazi salute, and even if he did: so what? I thought the Western world was free and open and the reason we invade Arab countries was to spread our democratic ideals chock full o' liberty, because everyone prefers our way of life even if they don't know it. Playing the arbitrary game is what we slam the Ayatollah for. We can't perch up on this self-justification then pass ourselves off as morally superior to Iran. You think this hypocrisy might have something to do with why we aren't too popular anywhere else in the world? Hhhmmm...Get off the poor kid's case. He was obviously mimicking the "dirt off your shoulder" move, then pointing at his screaming supporters. There was no political statement being made. He's a good guy and a great footballer: not an advocate for a long-since obsolete political ideology. This is solely a media-fed controversy. A sure fire sign of a slow news day is when they dredge up this tired old "is he a Nazi" storyline from the back alleys of yellow journalism. Let's put it in perspective: WWII concluded 2/3 of a CENTURY ago. That's right kids: it's long since been time to move on!
