Arutro Gatti Autopsy Results: Committed Suicide Says Brazil Paper
According to a Brazilian Newspaper, the autopsy on former boxing champion Arturo Gatti indicates that he may have committed suicide.
He was found dead in an apartment while on his honeymoon with his wife Amanda Rodrigues in Porto de Galinhas.
Police have since arrested Rodigues on reports that she may have strangled him, but she says she is innocent. She is currently being held in prison in Recife.
The Jornal do Comercio newspaper reported in its Saturday edition that the autopsy says Gatti's body was "suspended and hanged, indicating he may have committed suicide."
Paula Cysneiros, a spokeswoman for the medical examiners' office, would not confirm the newspaper's report.
