Ashes 5th Test predictions & betting tips
It's the fifth Test of the Ashes series and Australia enter the game 3-0 down and in the kind of strife that was predicted for them at the start of the series.
Well, that's as far as the series scoreline is concerned because if we look at it on a game-by-game basis, Australia have had their chances. It's just that they haven't managed to take them as well as they would have liked.

The sense one gets is that Australia are on the verge of a win. They were almost there in the first Test and then in the third and the fourth Ashes Test match as well. On each of those three occasions, the result could have gone either way and unfortunately for the Aussies, it went against them.
One advantage Australia will have is that Tim Bresnan has been ruled out of the fifth Test while Kevin Pietersen will not play with his fitness totally there. James Anderson has looked ragged with the Aussies playing him well and the over-dependence on Graeme Swann could be an issue for the hosts.
Australia will be relieved to have Shane Watson back on his feet but it still remains to be seen whether he will bowl. If he does, Australia may be well-served by including James Faulkner but that does not seem to be the path they are looking to go on for now.
The final Test begins on August 21 at The Oval.
