Rumors are swirling that Ben Roethlisberger is engaged to girlfriend Ashley Harlan.

Ben Roethlisberger-Ashley Harlan engagement rumors having been circulating on Twitter since Christmas.

The Big Ben-Ashley Harlan engagement rumor was even reported by the Executive Editor from Golf World Magazine.

"Update: Big Day for Big Ben will be in July. As reported here 1st a week ago, Roethlisberger popped question Xmas day to Ashley Harlan"

Roethlisberger isn't talking to the media about his girlfriend or his supposed engagement. A reporter from KDKA asked Ben Roethlisberger about the Ashley Harlan rumors. Here's what Big Ben had to say:

Roethlisberger: Oh geez. Listen, there’s always rumors out there about professional athletes, especially about me. You guys know that I am not going to talk about my own personal life, I don’t do that. My one singular focus right now is on the playoffs, on football and trying to get to the Super Bowl. So, that’s what my focus is right now.

Who is Ashley Harlan?

We don't know too much at this point. An Ashley Harlan photo is hard to come by. All we know is that the alleged Ben Roethlisberger girlfriend attended St. Francis College, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The paper also reported that Roethlisberger's girlfriend is a graduate of Laurel High School, where she played softball.

The New Castle News states that it has confirmed the Ashley Harlan-Ben Roethlisberger Engagement. They have also published what they claim to be an Ashley Harlan photo.

Surely folks have to question the timing of this.Ben faces multiple rape accusations (at least three.....rape and attempted rape and sexual assault)....and suddenly.....LESS THAN A YEAR LATER.....he's engaged????It must take a lot for a young woman to overcome dating an accused rapist (accused at least three times......possibly more)....let alone become engaged and soon to marry the creep....er....guy.Wonder how much it took? Ten mill......20.....he's worth over 100.I just could never get over all the rape accusations that quickly.....you'd think her caring parents....if they truly loved her....would encourage her to at least wait until certain things (ie: lawsuits, etc.) have passed.The sexual promiscuity alone would be enough to say...."whoa....let's slow this thing down."(for those who actually think it was consensual....the guy's a well-known horndog....very well known)He may look all steroidal-enhanced aged of 35-40.....but isn't she in her very early 20's?what's the rush....there a big ben bun in the oven?Why rush in to a wedding with an accused Rapist?????Very strange. Just try an think about the day one of you get accused of something , THATS RIGHT accused there was never a conviction and not any prove accused.The girl was so drunk she couldnt even give a clear statement now I dont drink and I am GLAD I dont but I am always the driver and I can tell you 90% of the time the girls I am out with dont even remember what they did the night we went out.Ben admits to having sex with these girls and sex is NOT rape or a crime. I am not saying he is not bad for doing that and he shouldnt think before he goes out drinking and hanging in college age bars. But stop accusing him of something you never saw or he was never convicted of Innocent until PROVEN guilty WTH is that gone now??

What does it matter to anyone...your NOT paying for the wedding and it's NOT your daughter...there are so many residents of glass houses on all of these comment sites... I am reading and commenting only because I have a genuine interest in Ben...he is my QB. I only hope for good things and happiness for him. If this were a perfect world we would not need to make silly comments and be so judging of others. This is why our world is such a mess... I grew up in a town near New Castle. I was interested in this information. I read it with happiness and hope for a young couple to make a great life and be happy. What is wrong with hoping that for someone? Everyone has something in the closet...no matter how small or large. It's their closet...KEEP OUT of it. GOOOO BEN....GOOOO STEELERS...# 7 is on the horizon! Enjoy your life and much happiness to You and your wife to be. She sounds very happy...I would be! Give them some love... PS...to all you "Perfect" people out there...what kind of examples do you show with all your accusations/hate. If you were perfect you would be in a better place. Life makes amazing people...but we are all human first...human is to error. We have all done it. Wether it is on a grand scale or a small scale your example is important. If you fall...I pray someone is there to pick you up, I also pray your thankful for it.
