Baltimore Restaurant Launches "March to Wine Madness" 2K12 Menu
March 4, 201- The Corner Bistro & Wine Bar www.cbwinebar.com located in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland has launched the "March to Wine Madness" 2K12 3-course dinner menu for $30.12 per person (30th Anniversary being celebrated during the year 2012) to honor the 30th Anniversary of the University of N. Carolina 1982 NCAA Championship team and the 30th Anniversary of CBS Sports broadcasting the NCAA Tournament.
The "March to Wine Madness" 2K12 menu features "Tip-Off" Appetizers and is highlighted by The "Full Court Press" House Salad as one of the three choices.
The main course the "3-Point Play Entrees" has a "Toss & Alley-Oop Catch" Fish of the Day as one of it's three entree selections.
The "Highlight Jam" Desserts has a Double Dunk Chocolate & Cherry Ice Cream as one of the three dessert choices.
The 1982 UNC Championship team was led by a freshman named Michael Jordan, James Worthy, and point-guard Jimmy Black. There are special wine selections available at The Corner Bistro & Wine Bar that feature the last name of the UNC "Big 3" of Jordan, Worthy, and Black.
Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, Worthy Cabernet Sauvignon, and Black Opal Cabernet/Shiraz and Chardonnay.
Michael Jordan became a house hold name after he sank the game winning 17 ft. jump shot to defeat the Georgetown Hoyas 63-62. He would be drafted 3rd overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984 NBA Draft and become a 6-time NBA Champion, 6-time NBA Finals MVP, and 5-time NBA MVP. Jordan would join Babe Ruth and Muhammad Ali as the 3 greatest sports icons of the 20th Century.
James Worthy became the 1st pick of the 1982 NBA Draft, being selected by the Los Angeles Lakers. Worthy would win 3 NBA Championships as a key member of the Lakers teaming with stars Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Worthy would be named the 1988 NBA Finals MVP.
Jordan and Worthy are the only two college teammates in the last 30 years to win an NCAA Championship, NBA Finals Championship, and to be named NBA Finals MVP.
Jimmy Black was the leader of the team. He was a member of the 1981 club that was defeated by the Indiana Hoosiers. Black was dominated by Indiana star point-guard Isiah Thomas and vowed to win an NCAA Championship for UNC and Coach Dean Smith.
The "March to Wine Madness" 2K12 menu will be a slam dunk with restaurant patrons who live and visit Baltimore during March Madness.
